What is a quick and easy way to get fingerwaves in long hair and make them stay in?

when i had fingerwaves all i did was keep my hair wrapped. and i would have them touched up once a week

I use Nicky Clarke Waves Cream Mousse
It works and it doesnt make your hair crunchy
