I was recently pulled over for making a illegal turn in my university, the cop asked me for my wallet and i gave him my real id, then he told me to give him the fake id that was under my wallet. I was stupid and gave it to him, and he then took my fake drivers license and then let me go.

2 weeks later:
Recieve a letter in the mail saying i am charged with posses, use, or attempted use of a fraudelent drivers license. I must attend a appointment at the office of student conduct on July 16th.

What can i do? what can i say? How can i get out of this with the least possible damage to me? I cant afford to lose my scholarships.

Please no answers that tell me how dumb i am and stuff, i know i did wrong

I was going to try to answer this, but it's too important. Seek legal help.

No matter how it turns out, you got this far because you obviously have some value. Keep your focus on life ahead. This may be a set-back, but work through it. Attack all hurdles!

Good luck! If possible, let us know how you make out.

Well you have already taken the chance and you have to se where it leads. It is a campus police thing so you have a good chance of getting through this if you act like a man and admit your wrong doing. Appeal to the student conduct people with sincerity, and with out too much whimpering. There is a chance that you will lose your scholarship but you already took that chance when you decided to get a fake ID.

Then if it gets to the point where you may lose your scholarship then you may want to get a lawyer, it's never too late. If you want to scam your way out of it you may want to get a lawyer now and let him advise you on what is best to do.. But you did the deed so the right thing to do, and maybe the best for your retaining your scholarship, is to be honest and hope that they give you a 2nd chance.

Nothing, you were caught red handed. You have to do what they say. Call a lawyer if you like but it's not going to do you much good and you'll have to pay the lawyer after court.

Just appear as directed. You're panicking!
You might get off with nothing more than a strong lecture and a promise not to do it again.
Your punishment just might be what you're going through right now...having to think about it.

Well if you couldn't afford to lose your scholarships, you shouldn't have purposely done something illegal...That kind of thing tends to catch up with you after awhile...Just deal with it and grow up...
