!!! No... with freezing you won't (or shouldn't) feel a thing. There will be some dull aching later, but standard pain killers will help that. I am not a dentist, but I have had wisdom teeth pulled!!!

No, but...
On my top wisdom teeth, the procedure went A-OK. No bruising, swelling, or even any major pain. I went to a dental clinic because I couldn't get an appointment with an oral surgeon and my wisdom teeth were putting pressure on ALL my upper teeth. I was getting buck teeth from them f*ckers in the back.
So out they came, and it was the best dental procedure I've ever had done. Hurt less than a cleaning.
But on the bottom, I got a wisdom tooth pulled and I got a dry socket. They always say, don't get a dry socket.
Do you know what one is? I had a piece of jawbone sticking out of my gum for about two months. That f*cker HURT. Throbbing, aching, thumping pain...oh, God, was it awful. I couldn't chew on that side for a good 10 weeks. The pain...oh, the pain...terrible.
I did everything the dude told me to do, but I had a lingering sinus infection at the time, and I think I may have loosened up the little blood clot with the sneezing and coughing from the sinus infection. Plus, the guy was a f*cking quack...avoid quacks.
In retrospect, I would have kept gauze packed in the area for a few days to make sure things healed properly. Sure, it's annoying, but it might have kept me from getting a dry socket, which is still lingering three months later (I still have a big hole in my gum.)
Proper aftercare is essential. If they tell you to chew on gauze, chew on gauze. If they tell you to rinse with warm salt water, rinse with warm salt water.
If they tell you to put a sock between your teeth and go to bed for four days in an opiate-induced haze, do it.
Wish I had.

HAVE NO FEAR, hemict-saan.
The dental profession is so advanced that nowadays, the dentists *know* precisely where and how to anesthetize your gums well before-time. The time I had all my wisdom teeth pulled, my dentist gave me enough pain killer (I'm not sure if it was Novacaine, or what - but I felt totally NOTHING during the surgery!) to let me even attend a PUBLIC SPEAKING meeting that afternoon, afterwords!
I was commended for attending and speaking at this meeting, given *my condition.*
A point to consider asking your dentist for post-surgery; Ask if you can eat all the ice cream in order to numb the resulting effects.
Just BE CAREFUL to watch your blood sugars!

No, well all have to have your wisdom teeth pulled out. I was knocked out the whole time and didn't really feel any pain after.

I had mine out yesterday. I was given 6 shots of novacaine and laughing gas. When the novacane wore off the pain was terrible. The next day my cheeks were very very puffy and my stiches were really sore. not to scare you but it is a difficult recovery.

Nah. You're 'out' during the extraction, uncomfortable and slightly dopey afterward, the pain meds are decent if you take them on schedule rather than waiting until you're in pain, and you get to loll around on the sofa watching DVDs and being waited on for a few days.
Not a problem, right?

No need to be afraid - it's quite a trip to count backwards from 100 and only remember getting to "96"! Get 'em all done at once, if possible!!!!

No, it's a piece of cake. They will put you out, and before you know it, it will be over.
Just follow their instuctions, and it'll be okay.
It'll prevent your other teeth from becoming crooked.
