Not sure exactly what Army standards are for quals.
In the AF, standard for expert is 30 out of 36 rounds in an 8" circle "Center Mass" on a full size silhouette, with all 36 on the silhouette, at 15-25 meters.
This will be done from several firing positions. To include kneeling, standing, over and around barricades, and with reloading exercises combined.

The correct answer is 'who gives a shite?'. The Berettas that are mostly employed are rather large-frame autos, too large for a weak round like 9mm. Shooters with smaller hands have issues with them. They're prone to stress fractures at the lock-up point in the slide, which is a joke for something that should be firing .40 Auto at least, and civilian Berettas come with a variation called the Brigadier that beefs up the slide in that area. It wouldn't be so bad if the military were supplied with +P deforming rounds like police are, then a decent shot to the head or 10-ring would probably do the job. But that's not the case.
To answer your question, don't worry about it. The quals are so simple as to be insulting. Berettas are at least naturally pointable. Get some range time in with them and familiarize. Don't wrap your non-firing thumb around the back of the pistol as I've seen many others do; you'll cut the top of your thumb right the hell open. The bottom of the slide back there is sharp, unlike a SIG or HK. Take a couple of sessions, expend a couple of hundred rounds per session and you should be alright.

You have to have a finger to pull the trigger! Beyond that they don't care one way or the other.
