Well, it all depends on the height and length and bone structure of the cat, as well as the breed. Some cats would be overweight at 10 lbs and I've seen others that were thin at 14 lbs. They should have a nice lean shape without seeing bones sticking out over their hips or spine, but not so heavy that you can't easily feel the ribs.

I have a one and half year old male, neutered cat who weighs 10.5 pounds. The vet said he is a great weight (he is actually very long and skinny), and will probably gain another pound or two in the next year or so.

A cat over 12 or 13 lbs can be considered obese, depending on the breed of cat as some are built larger than others. Your cats sound like they are a healthy weight for their age. I wouldn't be worried at all they aren't considered underweight.

Depends. Some cats stay pretty small (example, my friends cat, as a three year old adult, only weighs about ten pounds, and is veeery tiny).
Look at how much weight they have on their frame. Cats should be comfortabl. Lean muscle, not fat, but no ribs.

my cats two years old and weights 14 lbs, he hasn't been supertiny since the time i got him, i had received my cat from some people who had found them abandoned...
we've tried light diets- the vet suggests nothing drastic like cutting out meals because this itself can cause problems.
but some cats are just well..big. not every cat is supertiny. although many would say this is fat if you still see them being active and p;ayful, its not too much to worry about, bring em to a bet for their checkups and just promote being active with them by playing with them.

Dont even make up questions like this. Its impossible for a cat to be 56 pounds. And it wouldnt eat big macs and chocolate bars. You are not funny!

I think once they are fixed, they put on allot of weight. My cat weighed 13lbs. after being fixed. Call and ask your vet though. They can tell you everything you need to know.
