On youtube lots of people demonstrate that you can freeze a cold unopened bottle of Corona just by tapping it once on the kitchen counter. It is real and it only takes 30 seconds. I just cant do it myself. Seriously look it up on you tube. So, anybody got the how to guide??

An actual frozen beer will bust open. I found this out by leaving them in the freezer to long, on a few occasions. In glass bottles, the tops are pushed off by the frozen beer. A can will swell up and burst.

Try it yourself:
1. Get a bottled beverage, glass or plastic, preferably glass.
2. Put it vertical standing inside a freezer for three hours. (Making sure that the freezer does not shake because this could disturb the process!)
3. Take the beverage out and tap it against a hard surface.
4. Watch the magic happen before your eyes and don't worry about wasting your precious liquid, it's still good to drink, frozen or not.

When I used to work at Peoples Drug Store years ago (I hope I triggered someones memory), the beer cooler would sometimes freeze and the bottles had to be thrown away. We used to take all of the bottles, open them up and drink the unfrozen liquid. This was, of course, alcohol. Alcohol never freezes and therefore a beer cannot be totally frozen. It will usually explode.

You store the unopened bottle in a freezer before taking it out and tapping it on the counter.

you're supposed to freeze any liquid, preferably glass bottle for 3 hours in a freezer making sure that the bottle or freezer are not shaken in any way and then take it out and tap it on a hard surface and ice crytals will form!

Because of the alcohol content, beer freezes at a much lower temperature. In most cases I've heard of, liquid nitrogen or something was used to freeze it. So for most people, it falls under the " you cannot do this at home" category....

Hmm...maybe what you saw was the frost on the outside of the bottle...but you can't freeze alcohol to the best of my knowledge.
