You feed her high quality puppy food and plenty of it. She will be kind of hungry with 8 pups to feed. She may not want to eat for a day or 2 right after giving birth but offer her the puppy food any way and if necessary feed it to her Right when she is in with the pups. Plenty of water too. If she's going to have enough milk then she needs to drink a lot of water. Feed her 4 times a day and always have water for her. With in the next 48 hours like on Momday or Tuesday get the whole gang and mom into the vets for a quick check up. Do not give vitamin supplement unless your vets recommends it to you.
Good luck!

Feed your dog , DOG FOOD. give her lots of fresh water. I don't know why your puppies would be freezing. They should be kept in your house. The pups could die if they're not kept warm. Get a large box or a Big bed comforter and lay it on the floor so there is a thick comfy bed for her and the pups. Make sure the pups are feeding ok and that your dog stays with them. Call your vet immediately and make an appointment for tomorrow. and for goodness sakes SPAY YOUR DOG.

If you didn't start a vitamin-plus-mineral supplement before breeding, start it now. Do not over-supplement, as that may be harmful to the developing puppies. Some breeders add cottage cheese or a cooked egg to the diet on alternate days for extra protein. If you are adding multiple supplements to the diet, make a list of all the ingredients, gather nutritional labels, and take everything to your veterinarian to make sure it is balanced. Over-supplementing with calcium during pregnancy predisposes nursing dogs to eclampsia.
She should eat a premium adult food prior to pregnancy and for the first few weeks of pregnancy. Starting the fourth week of pregnancy, begin adding a premium puppy food to her diet. Each week, increase the amount of the puppy food and decrease the amount of adult food, so when she is in her final week of pregnancy, she is eating all puppy food. Increase the frequency of daily meals to three by mid-pregnancy. She may need to eat small meals every 3-4 hours during the last week of pregnancy as the puppies continue to take up more room (remember, most fetal growth occurs in the last two weeks of gestation).
Within 2-3 days of giving birth, her appetite will dramatically increase to 2-4 times her pre-pregnancy intake. She will need a near-constant supply of a high-quality puppy food and water to maintain her weight and health while feeding the puppies. She should still have her supplements of vitamin/mineral tablet, cottage cheese, and cooked egg. If her weight is properly maintained, she should not look gaunt or thin. Ideally, she should weigh the same at the time of weaning as she did when she was bred.

Feed her regular diet, keep a bowl of her regular kibble full near her and let her free feed, she will know how much she needs. Change is not good, especially after birth, and it is a good idea to supplement her with a puppy milk replacer. ("Esbilac" or a powdered dog/puppy milk). Do not give cow's milk, gives bad diarhea and not the right nutrients for dogs. The milk replacer helps her produce more milk and vitamins and minerals for the puppies. You do NOT need a vitamin/ mineral supplement if you feed the milk replacer, it has it all, and you don't want to overdo. Then after she has been nursing them for 2-3 weeks, you can offer it to them in a puppy pan and they will learn to lap. This keeps them satisfied, having mommie's milk AND a supplement, and keeps the puppies from dragging her down, (draining her of all her nutrients and energy). After anonother week, put puppy chow in the milk and mommy and puppies can eat together. Have fun, MMMMM, puppy breath!

No vitamins or supplements. Just feed her a high quality puppy food, and as much as she wants. Take a week to slowly switch over to help avoid intestinal upset. Keep it simple and she'll be just fine.

high quality PUPPY FOOD formulated kibble, lots of it as much as she wants to eat... I also will get powdered dog milk formula and sprinkle it over the food. On occasion I give pregnant females, 2 eggs, some cooked chicken, and cod liver oil as a treat.

You should keep it the same as you were before. Animals do not like change very much and especially if she is on edge about her puppies. It wont effect anything. Good luck keeping them all! :)

You need to get her on a vitamin supplement. You can pick them up at your vet's office or someplace like Walmart. It is very important for her to get all her nutrients since she is feeding those babies! :)
