there isn't anything wrong with the dog. It is a sign of affection to have them lick you. As for licking everything else, they do that to see what it is. My dogs will do that occasionally. Espically when they were puppies. If you are that worried contact your vet but I wouldn't worry too much!

I understand your concern. The best part of your problem is that its a puppy and you can still correct this.
Dogs are instinctively clean animals. If they can avoid it, they would rather not soil themselves or their usual eating and sleeping areas. Dogs also naturally develop habits of where they would like to eliminate. For example, dogs that have a habit of eliminating on grass or dirt would rather not eliminate on concrete or gravel. You can use these natural tendencies for rapid and successful house training.
You can get into training your dog and can find more information here.

My dog is a shih-tzu poodle mix and she is a big time licker, but I love it. She licks my toes when I put them up at night. I would think you could put on something bitter where she licks you and she will stop, or get a spray bottle with water, spray her and say NO when she does and eventually she will stop.

My friends puppy licked himself, his food and his
his owner. She thought that the puppy was looking
for affection and or attention. Just getting to know
his world around him.

I have a cockapoo as well. She likes to lick me. It is a sign of affection. When we tell her to give us kisses she licks us.

Dogs often take on the personality of their owner. Do you have ADD or are you retarded?
