i have a red pit bull but she is the sweetest thing on earth.Everybody like cringes whenever i say that i have her...is it really THAT bad?

No it isn't as long as you aren't training her to be aggressive or to fight other dogs.

No, its not bad that you have a pet pit bull. There is nothing wrong with having a well trained and socialized dog, no matter what the breed.
Many people are just thrown off because most pit bulls have such a bad rep., unfortunatly. I have met some very well behaived pit bulls.

no its not bad that you have a pttbull i have a one year old pittbull everyone cringes when you mention pittbull because they hear all these storys on the news about pittbulls but they dont here the full story like there owner has been miss treating it or they was bringing it up for the use of fighting it with other pittbulls my 3 year old little girl loves our pittbull she lets my daughter sit on her back and everything kids do to dogs and shes never once grawled at her or anything i also have an 8 month old rottie i cant take my dogs out with my daughter and my partner without everyone looking at us in disuggest as tho to say they have a child and 2 viscoius dogs but my dogs wouldnt hurt anyone the only time they would attck someone is if they was breaking in to our home and thats right because there only protecting us and the house so no i would not say its a bad thing to have a pittbull

NO its not bad. She's your baby and you love her. who cares what other people think. Your dog is your dog.
People think the worst because of all the media and the name Pit Bull scares the heck out of most people who dont know any better or have never been around one.
My friend owns the sweetest pitty I've ever seen and she's a big baby.

If she is a sweet dog, who cares what others think! I get the same thing from people that hear I have an American staffordshire/Rotti cross, then when they meet him they are amazed at how nice and trained he actually is! I have had people see him though and pull their children away in fear. People need to be educated. I watched a guy the other night "play fight" with his dog and it was growling like mad. I thought it was gonna rip his arm off! Guess what..... it was a Black Lab. Enjoy your dog.
P.S. I have three kids and they always have friends over.

Nope. I have a red nose pit puppy 2. She is 16 weeks and I ⥠her... She is the sweetest thing too.

About 10 years ago everyone was doing the same if you said you had a Rottweiler. It's not the dog so much as it is the owner, if your dog is trained correctly they can be the softest, lovable things but if they are not trained they can be confused about their surroundings and lash out at things they don't understand i.e. little children making high pitched noises. As I was attacked as a child on my paper round by a ruddy shiatsu I defiantly think it's all in the training!

Absolutely not! Pit bulls have a bad reputation because of what so many irresponsible owners teach them. Be sure you socialize your puppy very well when she is young (teach her to be friendly around strangers and small children), and she will always be a loving and affectionate dog.

Well.. They are killing pit bulls as we speek! But it just really depends on if you train it to be mean or not. Sounds like it is really sweet! But pit bulls have a DEATH BITE they won;t let go no matter what you do or say... Thats why people are scared of them.

of course it's not bad. she is a dog that deserves love just like everybody else. when they cringe ask them this: when somebody says that i had you would you want me to cringe? then kick them really hard and pull out their eyeballs
