For instance, according to Mark 10, a woman who is divorced and remarried is living in a state of sin. If she was divorced for reasons other than adultery, she would be an adulteress just for being remarried. Would she have to get a second divorce to go to heaven?

I have asked myself that same question a hundred times.
My belief is this...We are human and not anyone is free from sin - any sin - Jesus died on the cross so that we may be forgiven for our sins. If only non sinners went to heaven then no one would go to heaven. Please Read the following in your Bible. For we all have the opportunity to join Jesus in Heaven.
Your question on marriage and remarriage. I Corinthians 7:14 - 16 (Read all of that chapter as well.)
Acts 2: 38-39
Romans 10:6-21
Mark 16:16.
Remember God is a Merciful - Loving God

You must be talking about Nevada. That is the main state of sin. Some folks there think it is heaven.

Of course, there are a few places in the middle east that may qualify as states of sin as well.

the bible warns about this very plainly and very clearly. The bible says he who tries to enter into the sheephold by some other way other than the front door is but a thieve and robber. this means that, if you want to get into heaven, you have to do it the proper way. If you want to continue to sin and still get into heaven, you are being decieved!!

Jesus also clearly warns us that on that day of judgement, many will say lord, lord, but I will tell them: depart from me, you cursed, for I do not know you. Jesus tells us so plainly that many many so called christians will be turned away from the gates of heaven and cast into hell! Study the bible's every word.

Please do not be decieved!

Jesus says that if you really love him, you'd follow his word. So if you are still sinning, you do not truly whole heartedly love him. Jesus knows who love him. If you love him and keep his word, he knows you. If you don't love him, he knows you too.

The only answer to this is to REPENT! we are sinners and we must humble ourselves and repent. For if we do not repent and keep sinning over and over again, we are basically spitting in god's face and raising ourselves above god, trampling god under our feet. Imagine the wrath of god for those who disobey him so.

But the holy spirit will keep striving with you, telling you to repent, so that you may be saved from the fire. God is saying "let's give you another chance, lets see what you will do."

Ask Jesus with all your heart and may Jesus guide you to the truth and god bless you!

Why did you get divorced? Personally, I think that a true, loving God would not want His children to live in a state of unhappiness. I think that if you were not happy in your marriage, then God would want you to get out. I do not think that He would punish you for that.

Our life is hid in Christ. We don't go to heaven based on our life, but His life. All sins are forgiven. What you are stating is legalistic thinking that was before Christ died on the cross.

Truth is never so 'black and white'...in fact the truth of truth lies in the truth that truth can lie. C.S.

To judge someone would be to know The Truth, and only God would know that.

I have enough problems worrying about myself....
