Hi i have done the lighter life programme. If you are serious about losing 3 or more stone then i would give it a try. the down sides are its expensive £66 per week and you cant eat any convetional food whilst on the plan and you need to be either very commited or have great will power to stick to it. the upside is that it does work and you loose weight fast losing an average of 1 stone per month, your skin also looks fab as you have to drink 4 litres of water a day the sessions last 2 hours and you get therapy looking at what your reasons are for overeating the therapy is based on addiction therapy principles. I found the therapy to be the most valuble part. The first two weeks are the hardest then it get easier as you dont feel physically hungry after week one. i done the programe for 10 weeks and lost two stone. i didnt stick to it properly or i would have lost more than i did but dont let that put you off as that was because of my food issues some of the people in my group lost 5 stone in the first three months.
my advice would be to contact your local councellor and book an information session and you should get all the answer you need to make an informed decision.
hope that helps

I had a friend who was desparate to lose weight and went on this diet. She lost 6stone but as soon as she stopped she started putting the weight back on. She did this 3 times. She was happy that she got to her goal weight but the end result wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Her skin was awful and her hair was falling out in clumps and she also lost some body mass because she wasn't getting the nutrition that she required to keep her healthy. She then heard of this website and actually put on 6lbs but dropped 2 dress sizes because she gained back the muscle mass that she needed and her skin has improved so much and her hair has stopped falling out. The best thing also is that her weight has not changed now for over a year and she feels fantastic. Go to this website: www.feeling-great.org and find out some great information before you try this lighterlife one. It is not just about losing weight its about giving your body the best you can and getting the best results as well. My husband went to this website and found out for himself. Well worth checking it out. Good luck!!

I've never tried it but a friend has and most people tend to put the weight back on with this programme, you would be much better to see a government provided dietition at your local health centre or get refered to one through your GP.

Heard that all it does is drain your bank account and does nothing to teach you how to deal with food.
Read Dr. Phil's keys. It's far cheaper and has a much greater success rate.
