i was raised in a baptist church where we were taught that mormons, catholics, and almost anyone not baptist was going to hell. Personally i think its a huge laod of crap. I think god came to different parts of the world in different ways. To some buddha, to some tinkashila, to some jesus christ... but isn't it all the same idea? what are yur thoughts?

What you were taught was religious rhetoric and false to the very core.. When I was young my mother made me go to all kinds of different denominations and baptist seemed to be the scariest to me... That kind of teaching is so far from the truth and the fear of the Lord I am surprised they haven't been burned up as chaff. In the end they will be held accountable and may not enter eternity...

I am not so sure every belief system is the same idea but I bet that some are.... In my walk I have learned that many practices that most Christians wouldn't touch are practical principals and worthy of use....

I am no longer a church goer because of the restraints that the man made rules have control over the people that follows
the leaders and not the heart of God....

As for heaven and hell I believe in a triune in which there are 3 different dimensions or levels....The outer court where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth because of the darkness and separation from God ... The inner court for the believers that couldn't cross over the Jordon and into the promised land ..Last but not least the holy of hollies where the spirits of man that accomplished God's will and great things for him go.

It is my understanding that Hell (lake of fire) is for Satan and his buddies at the end of the ages..Since Christ was the one that went there and locked the gates He holds the keys for that very reason and purpose...... I am sure I will have some scoffers but that's ok.....

I was also raised Baptist. I also went through what you're believing now. Right now, however, I'm agnostic, so I don't even believe in God anymore.

I do like this idea if God exists. His greatest principle, at least according to the New Testament, is love, and many other religions teach love as well. It's just that the texts contradict themselves, the members start thinking they're better than others, etc. But just because this belief is pleasant does not mean it is true. If you're defining this as God, then you have already turned away from Christianity. Religions do have very different beliefs amongst them, so this idea that all paths lead to the same destination is rather silly.

God pronounced that eyes have not viewed nor ears heard what He has in save for people who love Him! won't be able to think of what it rather is gonna be like yet my objective is to flow there while He calls my call! Hell is observed as the excellent lake of hearth it relatively is approximately as undesirable because it gets alongside with the fact of being out of Gods presence consistently it won't be able to worsen. I have been given some warm syrup on my hand the day only before this and it harm an prolonged time, won't be able to think of my entire physique burning consistently. Sorry i did no longer view the hyperlinks!

Buddha never claimed to be a God, only enlightened to the true nature of the world.

I think there have been many 'heaven' and 'hell' archetypes, many largely predating Christianity, throughout history. None of these have anything to substantiate their claims which in itself make their claims all the more twisted.

I do not believe in life and death. I have come to terms with my own mortality.

As far as the issue of heaven and hell, there is a website that explains this subject clearly.

http://www.helltruth.com/

However, as far as GOD speaking to people of different religions, this is NOT so. There is ONLY ONE truth.

Matthew 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

GOD bless

We make our own Heaven or Hell on Earth. What happens in the After Life is anyones guess. I think that we reincarnate and live the next life according to what we choose. I do not believe that God punishes anyone. We have the right to punish ourselves.

I agree with you . Hell is a state of mind, it is not a place of eternal torture. The churches have used that has an instrument of control. It is so sad that we are in the 2007 and still people believe in that type of nonsense.

They don't/didn't exist. The Buddha did, but was a wise man only, and no god.

As for the rest, you are right, it is a whole "load"(not laod) of crap.

I like your idea. Its a nice way of looking at things. I believe that in some odd way we all worship the same god anyways. I believe in heaven and hell.

Umm I don't believe in heaven or hell, so I don't care, I just do what I want because I want to and not because some book forces me too because of fear of going to hell. How sad that in this day and age we still have so many closed minded people.
