Fresh n Clean is great--the smell lasts for up to 2 weeks. If you bathe your dog and the bad smell comes back right away, it could indicate seborrhea or a skin infection. Have your vet check if not sure!

i use the pr0 pet at wal-mart in the green apple scent. It cost about four dollars and it works. I have tried many other, more expensive shampoos and i haven't got a better result. You need to be sure to clean their feet and their "private" area. You can also get a deodorizing spray at pet smart for in between baths. If you over bathe dogs it may cause drying out of the skins natural oils.

What goes in, comes out. If your dog has anal gland problems, he will smell. If he eats a bad dog food that is loaded with grains like wheat, corn, rice, barley... he will smell.
google: dog + food + grain free
Don't over bathe or it will cause more problems. Dogs have natural oils in their skin/fur. When you bathe a dog, you remove those. Then the body works overtime to replace them, which can then make your dog smell more. It is a bad never ending cycle to get into. It also can cause dry, itchy skin.
Good luck.

I would suggest either a dog shampoo that has baking soda or triclosan(antibacterial) then follow up with equal mix of water & apple cider(or white) vinegar to help remove odor. Be sure to leave shampoo for 5 - 10 min. for it to work best.

It might be his anal glands. Have a vet or groomer show you how to take care of this. Trust me it's gross and disgusting.
