Ive just bought a samsung HD tv which has a freeview box included. When i first scanned for channels i got 72ish including UK TV gold but after unplugging the ariel (whilst the tv was off) i lost half the channels and now i dont have many decent channels. When i try and store the channels manually, the channels start at 32. How do i get each channel individually?

You may need a better aerial to get all thf Freeview channel in your area. With analogue TV as the signal weakens the picture gradually gets snowier until no longer watchable. With digital there is a sudden point at which the signal is too weak to be usable. This is called the edge of the cliff effect. Even with a good outdoor aerial you may not get all Freeview channels because until the analogue is switched off, some freeview channel groups are being transmitted out- of -band and need a wideband aerial to receive them. Also digital is not on full power yet until analogue is switched off. Here is a link to help you.
