Just be nonchalant about it. That's how I always tell a guy I like him. One time I told a guy flat out, "Eh, I think I like you." He liked that I had the confidence to just come right out and say it.

Ah. This is a common problem. Teenagers, their brains are able to tell their lips and throat to utter words at any given time, but the chemical crisis created in their minds when chemistry booms with a member of the opposite sex - yes, their vocal cords cease to function.
You must view this as a scientific dilemma. Mind over matter type stuff. Will your feet to walk toward this gentleman, will yourself to introduce who you are. You must rise above this common illness, strive to "level up" (as the geeks say) and tell your man, "I like you."
It may not sound right. You may end up burping. You may end up sounding like a cow in the throws of birth, but you must not let this affect your psychological determination.
Will yourself. You can do it. Overcome! Confidence! Will.
