I've been very depressed lately, having suicidal thoughts, and almost bought materials to commit such an act. The circumstances are complicated, and I don't believe committing myself to be the answer. I've spoken to the national hotline a couple of times already. Most of these negative feelings have been coming from being in my current living situation.
I really think I just need to go somewhere for a few days, to get my mind off of the situation... because everything around me reminds me of a fond memory and I just get upset over it *i.e. my furniture, my bed, etc.* so if I just find someplace thats safe and tranquil to spend some time, with no phone to deal with, I think I can get through this.
It's kind of an odd request, I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I live in the state of florida, and i have a little money to spend that I had set aside, but not nearly enough to commit myself to a mental hospital, and I dont want to put my family through that situation.

I'm really not going to commit suicide, I just get bent out of shape after seeing them... basically after few years, my significant other just decided to walk out on me and move in with someone else, and they're together now. It cant really be helped, he's just a loser.
I just feel a little exploring would do me good. Camping is something I had thought of, just with how expensive most other travel is these days. Thank you all for your words of encouragement.

I'm sorry you are having such a rough time, but the fact is that running away from memories does no good. The sadness is in your head, not in your location. You would do better to use that money to see a therapist and work out the issues that cause your sadness.

you're actually not loopy. purely 0.5 the human beings get effects from antidepressants. in case you're actually not taking any antidepressants top now, attempt Saint John's Wort. this is offered the place supplements are offered and it has no area effects. the yankee Psychiatric association did a assessment learn with Saint John's Wort and Prozac some years returned and the Saint John's Wort outperformed it hands down. The drug agencies do not pick to confess this because of the fact with the Wort, you could manage your self for decrease than 25c an afternoon. I take it and it works. do not combination the two, however. it works particularly a lot the comparable way, it boosts the serotonin and takes the comparable 7 days for the entire result. There are help communities obtainable for depressed human beings. There are consistently brighter days forward. The extra time you spend around human beings, the extra suitable. additionally going out for walks boosts dopamine, making a individual experience extra suitable. a holiday of a few variety could help too.

First of all you said that you don't want to put your family in the situation of being in a mental hospital....how do you think they would feel if they found you dead.......and on top of that you had committed suicide. The price of getting help doesnt even matter when it comes to putting your family in so much pain....Why don't you just go camping for a few days. I know iit sounds stupid but you can get away and just think about things. go fishing.....i don't know its inexpensive. If you need someone to talk to or you need to just blow off some steam I would be more than happy to listen to you. I have been in a situation similar to yours. I hope you get through this. good luck with everything. if you would like to email me its starynight39@yahoo.com

My friend, you need to immediately tell someone about your feelings. A trusted friend, a family member who you can be frank with, a teacher, someone. Call the hot line again if you don't feel like talking to anyone like that, and ask them to recommend someone.
If you want to talk to a therapist, there should be a program somewhere close to you where you could go for free or for not much money.
Believe me, all things must pass. Life will get better, and you'll look back on this period and be glad you didn't take it to the places you're thinking of taking it.
If you really feel that you need to get away, one of Florida's state parks might work. Pitch a tent, take long walks in the woods.

You seem nice and dont commit suicide it will leave to much problems behind. Find a new hobby so you can keep your mind off of them. Hope you start feeling better and Good Luck.

I can relate I feel the same way alot of the time. I have a river that runs by my house that I go out and sit by and think. You just have to find a place that is quiet and calm. I dont know an exact place maybe its a beach or lake or river by you. If it is a loud place just being a cd or mp3 player so you can drown everything out and its just you and your own thoughts. You can think more clearly and everything just makes more sense. Try it hun hope it helps

Sell it all man! Sell everything you got. Take the cash and hit the road for a few months. Tell your family you are moving for a job. Call them from time to time to tell them that it didn't work out and you are looking elsewhere. Just drive until it is out of your system. Then return to the best place you found and start over there.

get a girlfriend, dont mention any of this to her, and be as normal as possible around her/him, but be yourself. the attention will put you at ease, go camping with some friends.
maybe talk to your school psychiatrist(if you're in school).
good luck, stranger
