you have to eat right and exercise
i am going through the same thing as you are right now; i did the same thing last summer..i told myself.. "im not eating junk food..and i will work out" i would always cheat.. id think "oh one ice cream wont hurt" i didnt loose any weight last summer and i know its cause i didnt stick to it.
but this summer i have stuck to it.. i have joined a gym and i stay away from junk food.
keep in mind that it is going to take time...that was my problem also.. i tried and i didnt loose anything and i would give up; dont give up
i tried to just eat less and less so i wouldnt have foods with alot of calories but thats not healthy and i found myself bingeing at night because i was so hungry.. but i went to a nutrionist and she told me that its not exactly what you eat..its how much you eat of it.. portion control.
so portion control...exersise..eat right...and dont give up.

I am exactly like that and i am working on it too. I lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks on this. What you do is just moniter your eating. Dont exactly diet but NO SNACKING! Sit down to three meals a day. Not McDonald meals or eating out everyday, a sandwich and some pickles or fruit. Some small snacks are ok but not stuff like potato chips of fatty stuff. A handfull of peanuts or pretzels. Or maybe some fruit like an apple. Also, ask your parents to put all of the sugary snacks on top of the fridge or something so that you have to ask before you have one. Along with that... EXCERSIZE EXCERSIZE EXCERSIZE!! Go out and play instead of watching TV or going on the computer (LOL). Maybe join a sport for the summer like swim team. That is a belly fat sucker, trust me. Do that stuff and you will see improvment, i promise. Just dont full out diet, that takes the fun out of summer! :-). Oh, and if you are going out to eat one day, eat light until then and then eat what you want at dinner time! Dont stop yourself from having fun. Stuff like McDonalds are okay some of the time, but not all of the time. Enjoy yourself, but do NOT over do it!

Hi Jessica!
Great to hear you know your not fat but want to be healthy. Our fat seems to pick a place on our bodies for no apparant reason and then we have to figure out how to keep our bf (body fat) in proportion with the rest of us. You sound smart so know that anything aerobic burns fat and will distribute your "trouble area" so swim, dance and walk/run alot. Then watch what you put into your amazing "body machine"! less bread, soda, chips (you know that stuff) and more vegies and fresh fruit, fish etc. get help from someone who loves and cares about you! good luck and don't give up!

Don't focus too much on dieting. Yes, be sure to watch what you eat, but don't let that be it. Make sure to stay active, either through sports, swimming, dancing, jogging, or whatever it is you like to do. Something that gets your heartrate going and makes it hard to breathe. (Don't suffacate yourself of course) it'll get easier the more you do it, and you'll get more energy. My mom took a jogging course in her colloge and she lost 14 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks. She ran a lot though. Always challenge yourself. And DRINK lots of water!! Very important! Your body CANNOT burn fat without water in your system. (Says every health and fitness teacher I"ve ever met; which is at least 16)

Just set a routine. That is the key to keeping in shape. Find some simple exercises and make yourself do them at the same time everyday. Make sure you take a Sunday off every week to let your body heal. When the exercising hurts and you want to quit, remember that is the point. You are pushing yourself to the limit and past it. Good luck.

Well the best way to loose weight is to change your diet and start doing a cardiovascular excersise such as jogging. Eat foods that have more protien in them and less fat and sugar. And Jog one mile every day. Or if your perfer to walk. Walk two miles every day.

Losing weight is VERY simple. Burn more calories than you consume. Count your calories (there are many websites that will tell you how many calories are in fruit etc.). If you exercise for an hour a day and keep your calories to 1500 you will lose weight.
