a canker sore is inside the mouth, do not use products intended for cold sores which occur outside the mouth.
Taking a multivitamin, preferably a liquid one, will stop re-occurence and speed healing in the current one.

Go to Walgreens or Rite Aid and buy Campo Phenic. It will be in a bright green bottle with yellow label. It comes in a bottle and a tube. Just use the product a couple of times a day until it goes away. Hope that helps.

Ambisol contains alot of alcohol and numbing agents so it will numb it and dry it up quickly. That is usually caused by a vitamin deficiency, I don't remember which one exactly, but a multivitamin should do the trick!

clove oil or just suck on cloves if you have any. I used to get them all the time growing up. They hurt!! Anything salty would aggravate them.
