Hello.. I have had this mole now for about 5 years.. It formed while I was in band.. I played the tuba, and i think the vibration had a real factor on it growing.. I have now been out of school for 3 years, and this mole hasnt changed much.. i has gotten a little bit bigger since then, but more or less, no real change.. it never changed any colors, and just looked more like a skin tag.
I cut the thing off this morning because I was just tired of it, and other people asking behind my back, whats that on his face.. t got to the point where it just embarrassed me.. so now it is gone.. I cut it off this morning abou 7am.. and now it is 3:30pm.. it is still bleeding like crazy.. I havent put any neosporin or anything on it yet, but I have cleaned it with alcohol.. will this thing quit bleeding anytime soon, or as there any advice that someone can give me that would help it stop bleeding.. its hard to smoke a cigarette with a gauze on your upper lip.. Tip me please! Thanks!

ah...i understand about the mole you wanted to have it remove. Prolly the best for you to go to DR and have him stop the bleeding. You may have it cut deep without realizing how deep the mole may have been. Don't smoke for a while..it irritates it. Perhaps after the visit from your DR...maybe you could find a plastic surgery to fix it up so it won't leave a scar. I had a mole on my forehead, my bangs usually covers it but what bother me was it was sensitive to touch and it grew another mole on top. I had plastic surgery remove it and it looks like I never had a mole there.
I wish you the best. =)

A dermatologist would have removed the mole and either cauterized it or put a couple of stitches in to stop the bleeding. He also would have sent the tissue removed to be biopsied. It's probably fine but there is always the possibility of cancer. Malignant Melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer, starts in moles. No one should ever remove a mole by themselves.

Why would you do that!? I know it was painful.
It's dangerous to mess with moles. Don't you know that. A doc would've been able to slice it off for you, but cheaper at home, right.
I would call a nurse line and see if they have any advice or you local ER and ask. It should stop bleeding and heal, but it may leave a scar, or worst yet, with moles...
It may grow back... go talk or see a doc to try to eliminate for good!

Exactly why you should never attempt to remove a mole. You need to contact a doctor and get the bleeding stopped, and have it examined, you may have made a bad situation ten times worse.

you cant get cancer, i used to pick my moles off, out of compulsion. so, id say, stop smoking thats whats causing it. and add some pressure to it, is i just dribbling? if it dosnt stop bleeding by 7pm tonight (12 hours bleeding time)
you should see a doctor or call 911, because you can bleed to death.

Hold firm pressure on it for at least 20 minutes.

If pressure does'nt work, see a physician.
Do it yourself cautery is a worse idea than do it yourself surgery.
