Maybe your just too stressed about writting a song. Just stop trying so hard, then when those idea come to you, you start writting them down and it should be easier from there

Why are you trying to write a song for your guitar? To what purpose will it be? Most composers use an instrument to write their songs, but not to them.

Meanwhile, experiment with different chord progressions--some that you haven't tried previously and perhaps a melody line will emerge from it.

have you seen the movie, music and lyrics?
i think you make the meody first then the lyrics right?

Drew Barrymore's character says the following:
"A melody is like seeing someone for the first time. The physical attraction. Sex. But then, as you get to know the person, that's the lyrics. Their story. Who they are underneath. It's the combination of the two that makes it magic. "

so maybe you need to get to know your melody. reach deep inside and find out what it says or how your melody feels like.
