I am assuming you are asking if closed (paid in full) debts are removed from your credit file.

Yes, after the term (generally 7 years), they are cleared. They can be cleared early if the creditor agrees to have the assorted credit bureaus remove it at *their* request.

i think it depends on if the company updates it or not i had one on mine and the company updated so a 4 year old collection looked new if you dont look at the first issued date next to the current date

I think it is seven years from the day you paid it off and they stop reporting
