From a study obtained by an article on the internet, the author stated that soldiers are more likely to get away with crimes(i.e murder) than your average civilian, if never caught. Do you agree?

Un like the civilian system in the Military you are considered Guilty until you prove your self Innocent. It is harder to get away with something when your already guilty in the courts eyes, the burden of proof is on your head with out much Judicial help other wise.

Sort of! True Story! There was a serial killer in the Navy about 10 years ago. I believe I remember it correctly, a guy was arrested and charged with rape/murder (by civilian authorities) then the Navy kicked him out. NCIS decided to look into rape/murders that happened in the ports that his ship visited, while he was attached to that ship.

So, Military members committing crimes are no more or less likely to get away with murders if they are State side, over seas, where the local law enforcement does not have the some expert levels of forsenic sciences will make it much harder for them to track down a murderer.

Not from what I've seen. the military doesn't like it's soldiers to get into civilian trouble. My friend got into trouble by drinking and not paying his bills and he was given a general discharge from the Marines 6 months before his second term was up. Where most civilian courts will let minor acts slip by, the military will come down hard. Even for minor acts you can get busted in rank and pay or discharged and the more serious charges mean court marshaled and possibly prison time.

Don't believe everything you read on the net. They seldom tell the truth just like most news media.

OK..."if never caught" pretty much means getting away with it.

Perhaps you should restate the question.
