Adam messed up. But by the looks of some of the responses on R/S any one of us would probably have done exactly what he did.
Look the garden thing is history but that same deceiver (SATAN) is at work in the heart and mind of humanity.
God didn't just sit snuggly in His heaven while all hell broke loose down here. He put His bacon on the line with Jesus sacrifice to UNDO the garden snafu.
So why not just take the CURE??
Also, please folks, stop saying Satan will rule Hell. He is NOT ruling Hell. Hell was designed to PUNISH him and those who have the same heart attitude as he.

God knows and he always has a plan. He knew from the beginning and he will know before the ending. His plan does not change. Satan is allowed but God changes it and works it out for the Good for those who love and trust him.

So, if what you're saying is true, why did it take four thousand years for God to come up with a solution to the problem that he permitted to occur? Were there a lot of proto-Jesuses that never made it out of beta testing?

EDIT: still, what's the doctrinally correct reading of "God takes four millennia to fix problem he allowed to happen in the first place"?

You should read the Mayan creation story. It's just as good, and has an all-new cast of characters.
