How did it work out? For better or for worse? How long ago did you get it done? How much did it cost?
Im thinking about getting lazer surgery on my eyes so that I can see better sometime in my life. I would just like a little info on it. Thankyou for any help you can give.

My husband and I just had our eyes "done" (him LASIK, me PRK) within the past month. And so far so good! I'm healing a bit slower than he did. His surgery was about $3000 after our vision insurance discount...and mine was about $3300. Do keep in mind that in different areas of the country, the prices do vary.
I was so totally blind before...had been in glasses for 27 years and contacts for 25. I did a TON of research on the procedures, all the risks and benefits, some on the cost (but that wasn't as important to me as getting a WONDERFUL surgeon), and even my top two surgeon choices that started with recommendations from other eyecare professionals. These are the only eyes I'll ever have, and I wanted them in real good hands.
The technologies that are out there have come a long way since the first lasers...we're now in third generation. The link I put below is where I got a LOT of my information about the procedures themselves, the differences, risks and benefits of each. I got the names of three surgeons in my area from my optometrist and two from a corneal specialist I work for. I checked up on their backgrounds...education...where they did their internships and fellowships, how long they have been doing LASIK/PRK, whether corneal surgeries are all they have ever done or have they not focused solely on the cornea, what their personal success/failure/turn away rates are. I really interviewed my top two choices...just like we'd be interviewed for a job. I work for a group of ophthalmologists, so knew a few questions to ask.
To be contact/glasses free...even though I know I'll end up with reading glasses at some point in my future due to presbyopia...is very much worth the money I spent.
Just keep in mind to research EVERYTHING to help you make your decision if/when you decide to proceed with the laser surgery. The better informed, the better the results.

Yes I did. And it was the best thing I ever did. It was about 4 years ago and I was considered legally blind in both my eyes without glassed or contact. To wake up and not have to search for my glasses and hassle with contacts a few times a day is amazing. Sometimes I would have to call my mom into my room to help me find my glasses in the morning. The surgery itself took minutes and recovery instructions were to take a nap. For the first time I could see the time on the alarm clock across the room! It cost me $1800 per eye, but that was 4 years ago. Even though the doctor couldn't guarantee that I wouldn't need glasses again by the time I'm 50, it was way worth it. I don't regret it one bit. Got it done in 2000 for $4600.
Just remember do not go to the person because they are cheaper, go because they do good work.

I didn't get it, but my uncle did.
I think he said that they inject your eye with this liquid [i forgot] to numb it, he said that his eye sight is perfect now.
500 bucks for each eye.

Yes, it's pretty simple, ask your doctor.. it won't hurt at all.
