Well, my first suggestion would be to download VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and try playing the video through that. Then, if you still have issues, download gspot codec information appliance(http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) and drag and drop the file on to that. That should tell you what codecs were used and whether or not you have the proper codecs installed. If the video is a video TS folder, then just drag that entire folder on to the media player and the video should start playing.

Please ensure that this is not an issue of codecs afterall... get something called the klite mega codec pack. Its free and has most of the codecs you could possibly encounter. Its even got a real player and quick time alternative... I am not sure of the latest version though..I am sure you can find out.

The advantage of downloading this over VLC is that using this, you can play movies on your normal player like windows media player or winamp : which you might have gotten used to :)

BTW, this package has the Gspot codec info tool too

probably it because you don't have the right codec to play it. First what type of format is it? avi etc...? 1. You can download code pack or google it. 2. easy way without worry to install codec is download VLC player. Google it. Vlc player plays 99% of all video file. I personally use it for video and it awesome.

hi:
try divx.com , most downloaded movies are saved in .avi form for small download size, and the divx codec plays them.
If it is your audio, look in your device manager for your aduio devices. When you find it, expand the tree, and right click on your audio device. Click properties, and a little window should come up. click the drivers tab in the window, and update drivers.
