The Bible doesn't say specifically about other earth-like planets. My understanding of the Old Testament (Torah), indicates, that when Satan rebelled against God, the entire universe was thrown into chaos. Scriptures indicate that Satan was given rule over the Earth, long before man was ever created. Unfortunately, the Earth wasn't big enough for him, so he decided to take control of everything. He thought he was bigger and better than God. There's a lot of humans who think this way also. As a result, the earth became 'dark and void' along with the rest of the universe. This made way for the creation of mankind. Finally, it is written in the Old Testament and strangely enough also in the Koran, that mankind's destiny is to 'tend' the planets; Recreating beautiful planets all over the entire universe. And man will 'never tire from his labours' in achieving the will of God.

Psalm 19:1 says that "the heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork." Everything that God has made, be it you and me, or wildlife, or angels, or stars and planets, have been created for His glory. When I see a breathtaking view of the Milky Way or peer at Saturn through a telescope, I am amazed at the wonders of God!

David wrote in Psalm 8:3, "When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained." When we see the vast number of stars, then read that scientists have discovered thousands upon thousands of galaxies, each containing millions of stars, we should be stand in reverent fear of a God so immense to make all that and call it the work of His fingers! Furthermore, Psalm 147:4 tells us that "He counts the number of the stars, He calls them all by name." It is impossible for mankind to know how many stars there are, not to mention the *name* of every star!

To answer your specific questions: Space and planets were created for God's glory. The existence of planets outside our solar system is still somewhat hypothetical, some "discoveries" have turned out to be erroneous and many are unverified, but if there are extra-solar system planets then these too were created for the glory of God. A constantly expanding universe is yet another conjecture that has yet to be proven. I don't think that its expansion is necessary to keep us from leaving since we've only traveled a mere 240,000 miles away to the moon, and that was only a total of 21 men (counting the men in each command module and the three on Apollo 13) for a few days each during a very short decade in mankind's long history. The next star farther than the sun is over 4 light-years away and that isn't even a measurable fraction of the size of the known universe, expanding or not. The Lord will return long before man will ever travel beyond our tiny solar system.

"Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, And My right hand has stretched out the heavens; When I call to them, They stand up together" (Isaiah 48:13).

Nothing which is the least bit meaningful as the people who wrote the bible did not know about other planets other than the ones nearest in out solar system and they did not really know what they were.

The Bible is about God, His attributes and His desire for us to be close to Him. It's not about science or astronomy. Trying to make it into something it isn't is similar to trying to make the phone book about numerology or paleontology.

Who is going to find the missing chapters? Obviously, God has made an error on this one.

You shouldn't pay any attention to the Bible, its full of nonsense and rubbish and was written by people who knew little for an audience who knew even less.
