My friend was about to curl my hair yesterday when she saw a marking on my head that looked strangely like a Target sign. It was about a centimeter big and hidden in my hair. I know it is probably not a mole because it is red. It does not hurt at all. Do you have any idea what it could be?

It is probably not a birthmark, I never had it when I was a baby and just noticed it yesterday

Ringworm--it is a fungal infection which is often transmitted at barber shops and salons due to combs, etc not being sanitized. Easily cleared up with medicine. Go see your doctor. If it is ringworm, then throw away or disinfect all of your combs, etc. (by the way--no worm is involved--that is just the commonly used name of it)

Erythema Migrans (the bullseye rash) is a characteristic sign for Lyme Disease. You should go to the doctor immediately. Lyme Disease is spread by deer ticks, which like to hang out in tall grasses. Seriously, go to the doctor. If you wait to treat it can cause serious problems with the joints, nervous system and heart. If untreated it can cause brain inflamation, severe nerve damage and arthritis.
The good news is that you see the rash. This means you've had the disease for less than a month and can be treated without further complications. Best of luck to you!

Birthmark of no consequence. If irritated a tick bite? i had one when we used to live in Georgia. There was no tick imbedded in. It was just a bug bite.

Limes disease. You had a tick and its probably still somewhere on your body. get rid of the tick and you should be fine, just go to the doctor so they can treat you too
