I was in Korea and they eat dog on special occasions in a soup. It's called Kulgogi. I have a friend who tried it. He said it was better than Bulgogi which is Korean beef. I think eating a pig, chicken or cow is equally appalling. It depends on what's socially acceptable in your society. Come on, is it really that different to eat a dog or a cat than a rabbit?

We lived in Korea and my housekeeper confirmed that Koreans do still eat dog. She assured me that it's not just any dog - like our pet dog....it's a special breed that they raise for that purpose only. I never saw the type of dog she spoke about but I'm confident she was telling the truth. Personally, I do not eat dog.

Absolutely not. But in some countries, it's acceptable and part of their culture, and probably the result of need.

People from many countries, including the US, will not eat the meat of carnivores, just as some do not eat beef or pork.

I doubt they think it any crueler to kill and eat a dog, than a cow. Sometimes it's just food. Sad, but...

no, a dog's meet is the worst thing a human being can ever have, but for my deepest sorrow i have seen some people here in India who belong to north east of the country, on the border line to china, and they eat dogs, and a friend told me that after some Koreans came to a locality on their neighborhood, the number of poor street dogs decreased seriously, he had caught them chasing the dogs at nights, and taking them home, slaughtering and eating their meet, believe me it is true, i have personally seen people who have confirmed eating dogs. and once even a lady told me her dear cat was missing, then she came to know that the sisters of an orphanage in north east of India wanted to give themselves a treat while she was out and made a food out of her cat! these people exist!!!

How can anyone even think of eating man's best friend?They are loyal even when they are neglected or abused .The only dogs that should be eaten are hot dogs.Unless you are a vegetarian.

I am aware that in some cultures people consider dogs a delicacy. I consider my dogs as part of my family. I would never harm one of my fur babies.

Its some culture some people do and just think of it like eatin' a pig, I mean I would never do it but some people eat frog legs, and that dosnt mean their gross that just means they r difrent.
