that would be perfect anyway. There would be no margin of error. He certainly wouldn't create the earth for a strange experiemnt because he doesn't need to. Does anyone agree or disagree?

I don't ponder these things but I've read books about it so I can answer from the perspective of what I have read.
One view of it is that God remains uncreated perfection, the realm of formless eternal being and that the created world comes into existence through the idea of separation from the one. Even though the forms of the universe seem imperfect or limited and changing they are actually part of a larger body of perfection.
Put another way: things in the universe are like numbers, mathematical problems etc but God is Math itself. Math is perfect but problems within that field can be limited, correct or incorrect etc.
The reason that "the big Math" doesn't say "no" to the individual problems or disallow them from existence is that the big Math can only say yes, being an entirely positive or GENERATIVE phenomenon- hence the idea of a "creator."
Not to get cute but you might say that God is "too unlimited to limit limitation."
Note that this idea does not think of God as an anthropomorphic being or a personality in the normal sense of the word. The idea of God as a Big Man is a primitive view. The idea of God as a universal consciousness is still absurd to some but at least worthy of more serious consideration. The idea of God as a description of the unitive or cohesive aspect of the universe that is chaotic in its myriad forms probably is the only one that could make any sense to a materialist. This third idea is the one that is paraphrased above.

Thank God... finally, someone else is beginning to understand.
You are correct.
A perfect being has no need to create anything. In fact, a perfect being has no need to DO anything, being just perfect the way he is.
Now all you've got to do is figure out the one thing perfection lacks, and you'll have a good answer as to what the Universe is on about.
Addendum: That would be true (that we couldn't ever figure out the answer) if the one thing perfection lacked were a large thing, but it's actually as small as you or I, since it's something we happen to have.

Disagree, you must not go to church or read the Bible much or believe in God. Things on earth are not made to be figured out, people on earth were given a gift by God called choice. What you do with it is up to you. Some people use the gift in a smart way while others use it bad. If you read the Bible there are many things written in the prophecy that have come true in modern time which leaves me no choice but believe in it. Try it sometime.

The creation of Earth and humanity is NOT an experiment. God IS perfect and in His perfection expresses itself and Himself in perfect creation and perfect man and woman and perfect omnipotence!
It took something rebelling against God to bring in the element of a lie/deception/death, etc.
Having perfectly given mankind the perfect gift of freewill, so they could be creative also like God and express this perfection in their daily existence and living; the devil took advantage of their innocence and stole their dominion by deception over their planet earth and over the other lesser forms of life: plants and animals. Mankind NEVER had dominion over each other! Their original 'garden' was the perfect invironment that they could continue to spread over the entire planet as they walked and talked with God. He held nothing back from them except He didn't want them to know about evil. That's the only thing that would circumvent their perfect life and the devil knew that. God knows that sin will kill you, so he told them they would die if they partook of the 'fruit of the tree of good and evil"..., He warned them, they CHOSE to disobey. "She" was deceived, "He" was not; just did it!"
O yea, "perfection" isn't some static attribute that isn't demonstratable or isn't moving or operational. Any and all areas where you have mastery or have proficiency is totally useless without some way to demonstrate it or why would you ever choose to have this mastery and then say you won't operate within that level of perfornance?? Why say that about God? If you are master/perfect/whole/etc. what would be it's effect or observation?
Funny how certain mindsets limit our understanding of the truth we so dreadfully try to renounce so we can wind up looking wise, but it backfires of course. God IS.

According to Genesis she created the Heavens and the Earth, He also created all the beings and objects on the Earth including Man and the tree, in the center of the garden, of The Knowledge of Good and Evil which she told the m,an and the woman to never eat of it.
It was his creation that screwed everything up and God has let it continue because she wants for it to return to perfection, what ever that is. So the fact that the world is not perfect is the result of man's actions and God's punishment.
As to your response prove it . I would submit that God if God is perfect then he/she knows what imperfect is and could create something to see if the Creation went to perfection. Couldn't they?

Why do you see life as such a boring sense of worthlessness? How could we as humans experience the wonders of this great universe if it was not "created" by someone so perfect? I know it is hard to wrap our human, earthly minds around a concept so Divine, but to not give credit to a creator for the gift of life let alone the power of the soul to love and wonder and think like yourself, would be the last thing any of should do. The complex nature of just the human body is far more than any one of us could ever began to explain. God loves all of us and His majestic design was to magnify His power and glorify His mighty abilities! Give credit where credit is do! May you allow Him into your life so you may experience His GREATNESS!

The Creation was perfect, until it was spoiled by original sin.
Read Genesis. There was no death before the sin of Adam and Eve.
God looked at His Creation and saw that it was 'GOOD'
Edit. - - There was no margin of error as you call it.
God's Creation was perfect, but He gave humans free will because He didn't want puppets or robots. He wanted humans to love Him and each other freely. Real love cannot be forced, it only operates from free choice. That free choice alows humans to choose to disobey Him, to reject Him and His laws. Adam and Eve choose of their own free will to disobey Him, and because God is perfectly just, there had to be a penalty for this sin, as punishment to teach humans that wrongdoing has consequences. So the penalty was that death entered the world and the perfect Creation became tainted with decay, corruption and the effect we now recognise as entropy. The PERFECT Creation was damaged by human beings, because God allowed them to damage it, through their own free choice. Regrettably humans have still not learned their lesson and continue to choose to reject God's laws and even to deny His existence. They choose to reject the message of the importance of love that Jesus brought to the World, and which He proved by allowing Himself to be tortured and killed for the salvation of all, including His enemies. What greater love hath anyone than to lay down their life for their friends? He also did it for His enemies, including those (like yourself) who choose to deny and reject Him.

In His love He desired reciprocal love, so He created man in His own image. Man was given the ability to respond to God's love or reject it. In the beginning man enjoyed full fellowship with God, but soon rejected Him, bringing the ruination of all creation. This wasn't God's intention, so He implemented His plan for creation to fulfill its intended purpose.
Perhaps the best statement of His purpose can be found in Revelation 4:11, where we see heavenly beings gather in His praise, saying, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." And there we have it! God created us for His pleasure, for His ultimate good will, because it is best in His estimation. True meaning of creation will not be known we are with Him.
