I've had dogs for nearly 40 years. I've taught obedience for 30 years. I have yet to come across any dog that could not be trained.
Unfortunately, it isn't the dog that is the issue. It's the creature at the other end of the leash.
For whatever reason, people seem to think that all it takes is a dog to be able to train it. At least with kids, the kid can at least tell their "owner" what is going on. With dogs you don't get that advantage. Dogs tell me LOTS of things with non-verbal communication. Unfortunately, MOST people don't know how to read that language.
Talk to your vet or go to www.akc.org and find a local obedience club. They will teach YOU how to train your dog.

Actually, no, no dog can be trained, they don't need to, they all ready know how to sit, lay down, come, heel, stay. The trick is that we as humans can be trained to communicate with dogs in a language that they understand in order for us to get them to do what we want. That is why training classes are now called Canine Education Classes and not Obedience Classes

yes, any kind of dog can be trained, the proper time to start a pet's training is from the 4the month of his life. u have to cunsult a professional pet trainer, there are some special tricks to make a pet trained by practicing certain rules about 30 minute every day, if u want to do it urself u might need halp of a professional,
or u can buy some books on how to train a dog, its better to find the books for that special spieces, like if u want to train a labrador, u have to find out the books about labradors not a german shepherd. they are diffrent in their abilties and learning potentials.
just rememebr it needs time, and a lot of patience

Of course, any and every dog can be trained.
It's just that, often times, these little dogs are just sooooo cute and owners let them get away with a lot. A little yappy Pomeranian is adorable, and big hulking Mastiff barking is not.

every dog can be trained. little dogs are more of a challenge, but that doesnt meant hey are not smart, that just means you need to work harder at it. puppy classes a crucial parts of dog training as well as lots of working at home.

I love ankle bitters. lol As with any dog it takes patience and persistance. You have to get to know the personality of your pup and work with that. Some are harder to train than others but all are trainable. It is easier the younger you start. Good luck and have fun!

of course they can. the hardest thing about for owners though is that because the dog is so small and cute, they feel like they cant be stern with them. and just a tip: dogs are meant to walk on the ground. There is something that happens to a dog when it is carried everywhere and held above other dogs. Its seen as a statys thing and can cause problems. So please just let your dog walk like its supposed to.

Yes, of course they can be trained. But you'll have to be very persistent, understanding, and patient. And it would help if you put in a little more detail. Thanks.
HAPPY TRAINING!
