The Bible Job 8 : 8 - 10
"Ask the former generations and find out what their fathers learned, for we were born only yesterday and know nothing, and our days on earth are but a shadow. Will they not instruct you and tell you ? Will they not bring forth words from their understanding ?

Indeed, a person is not born a theist or an atheist, but without any knowledge of God. We are born in a state of separation from God. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, they were separated from God. This caused sin to enter into humanity like a disease and death to enter the whole world.

That is why it says, "Ask former generations..." If we are born separated from God with no knowledge of Him, the only knowledge we have is based upon former generations who experienced God. Job and His friends, having never experienced God themselves, had to rely on the knowledge of God passed down through the generations (as it was given to people who knew God like Noah and Abraham.) They had to rely on their elders for wisdom who learned from their elders and so forth.

Thankfully, Jesus Christ opened a door that allows all people to experience God. All they have to do is come to Him for salvation and He will give them eternal life which is the knowledge of God (John 17:3). We don't have to rely on the bible or past generations for knowledge of God as did Job. We all have access to Christ who alive in Heaven, and Christ can give us wisdom. We can know God in truth by Christ revealing Him to us in Spirit.

When we are born we are like a clean sheet of paper.
hate, prejudice, back biting and selfishness has to be taught.
so does love, compassion, tolerance, understanding and generousity. When we take little ones to nurseing homes to visit grandma's and grandpa's we are teaching them to do that for us when we are old. When we don't they learn that to.
Remember your child will treat you the way you treat your parents. Or they will treat their wife the way you treat yours.

"Knowing nothing of atheism" is redundant since atheism means "knowing nothing". Yes, babies are born knowing nothing of God or science or health or math or anything else.
