It can be sunny and warm (25° C) it can sunny and hot (35° C) or it can be rainy and rather cold (15° C) so pack for for all occasions - Salzburg is near the Alps and weather can change within a day or even a few hours. So bring T-shirts and shorts as well as jeans, sweaters, a rain jacket and an umbrella.
Weather forecast for more than five days are vague in general and not really reliable. Long time averages do not help much either in our climate.
As Austria is a tourist country we always try to provide the best weather possible, of course ;-)

The weather in Salzburg in July is lovely. It is usually in the low 70's at mid-day and the evenings are usually fairly balmy. Of course, I come from Scotland so these are perfect temperatures for me.
