WASHINGTON - Immigration has supplanted Iraq as the leading issue on television and radio talk shows, complicating the prospects of a Senate bill desperately wanted by President Bush.
Conservative talk radio's impact on the immigration debate reached new heights last week, with one host effectively writing an amendment for when the Senate returns to the imperiled bill this week.

Yes. I also am 100% against ANY amnesty, even if some say it should cost $5,000 to enter. Kick them ALL out!
WHY on God's green earth, should law breakers get any break?? Really. Why?
Why not then also give tax cheats free passes?
What about people who drive drunk? Should we give ALL of them a free pass?
What about pedophiles? Rapists? Burglars? Car thief's?
Hell-- why not just give EVERYONE a free pass?? The hell with laws. Why even have POLICE? A FBI or Border Guards.
Its crazy. Is our OWN government out of control? Are we becoming a third world nation?
Remember--We ARE the PEOPLE --, and we are supposed to be FOR the PEOPLE.
I for one am FED UP.
When did it get so SCREWED UP?
Where the Hell is Marshall DILLON when we NEED him?

The impact should be on the Senate. They should be running scared instead of desperately clinging to this flawed bill.
Bush should be feeling the heat, but nothing in his behavior shows he does. He's acting like an ostrich with his head in the sand.
I'm just happy I'm not alone, that millions agree with me..this bill is wrong. Shamnesty is a failing, self-perpetuating policy.

For some of you the leftist bias` media`s agenda is still effective in directing your thoughts toward you believing the culprit in the illegal amnesty bill is President Bush ? You need to watch your backs` on especially what Sen. Reid & Sen. Kennedy are doing in the back halls of Congress , late at night while they think it is OK to sneak things in on you ! For instance , the left wing bias` news media has yet to mention that these 2 Senators discretley changed the identifying Bill # from S.1248 to S.1639 so as to disquise it when it comes up for the 2nd vote . For all who are against this Illegal Amnesty Bill you should realize that there is more that enough blame to go around in Congress than to try to single out one person . Don`t play the liberal " blame game ". Please take note ; you don`t hear the name Kennedy or Reid anymore from the bias` media like you did when they thought this Illegal bill would slip under our noses without a problem . Now that 80% or more of us that oppose this stupid bill are up in arms against it , now all of a sudden the bias` media now calls it President Bush`s bill !! You have got to watch what the media does and continues to do subjectivley to cover their boys` butts` in Congress , which is any liberal left wing idealist that will try to govern with the elitist "great than thou", and "do as I say , not as I do" attitude ; you all know who they are ??? So lets don`t lose our train of thought here as we oppose this foolish Illegal Amnesy Bill , there is plenty of room for blame , and it falls on more than one mans` shoulders !!

All I'm saying is no amnesty, illegals get out. Patience and tolerance for them is running thin in the Sacramento area, Americans are starting to deal with the leeches in their own unique, painful ways...The scum thought we'd just be pushed over, well, when the parasites start getting mobbed on buses, trolleys, and in discount stores by angry citizens, maybe they'll think again eh??? Believe me you, there are already instances of such militia-style justice on the books my friends....

I certainly do agree it has had an impact, but there needs to be more done. The politicians are too worried about the "Hispanic Vote" for them to do anything. It needs to be shown to them in no uncertain terms that we will not put up with this "amnesty for office" stuff any more.

Big boy Trent Lott is becoming a little cry baby and throwing a tantrum: "Oh no, Americans are taking actions on an issue! It's all talk radio's fault!"
Hahahaha! Oh yeah baby, we're taking action! Get ready because here we come!
Close and secure our borders!
No amnesty!
No anchor babies!
Punish business owners who hire illegals!
P.S. I am a legal immigrant myself. Now 100% all-American babe.

One positive thing that has happened with the Senate's pile of crap bill is that 80% of American actually agree on an issue. We are on the same side of this matter. It is amazing!!! Who would have "thunk" it would happen?
NEVER SUPPORT ANY OF THE PRO-AMNESTY MORONS!

Talk radio's only weapon is to let the people know what is going on. How can that be bad?
I agree that radio's been a major force. What I've read in the papers has seemed to me to be carefully-crafted propaganda in favor tof the bill, and specifics have been much harder to find in print than on the radio.
