It paints chipping off, but I was told Lincoln's paint and clear coat doesn't chip...

any paint can chip some are worse than others if there is an impact point [similar to a star crack in a windshield] most manufactures will claim road damage and tell you that you are on your own,even if no dent is apparent. however if the color coat is coming off in flakes leaving the factory primer coat undisturbed , you have a legitimate claim. even if the car is a couple of years old or high mileage [however they will only pay to spot repair the panel so if color matching will be an issue, be prepared to pay extra to"blend" the repair zone into the surrounding panels.

I was in the limousine business and have owned many Lincolns. Trust me, the paint chips. They were cheaper to fix for me than Caddies, but broke down way more often. I hate Ford products.

I have a Nissan and no paint chips.
I will never buy American again
