All things dull and ugly,
All creatures short and squat,
All things rude and nasty,
The Lord God made the lot.
Each little snake that poisons,
Each little wasp that stings,
He made their brutish venom,
He made their horrid wings.
All things sick and cancerous,
All evil great and small,
All things foul and dangerous,
The Lord God made them all.
Each nasty little hornet,
Each beastly little squid,
Who made the spikey urchin,
Who made the sharks, He did.
All things scabbed and ulcerous,
All pox both great and small,
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
The Lord God made them all.
AMEN.

The Bible says that Satan asked for Gods permission to harass the man Job (for the purpose of proving mankind's lack of any real integrity) and that God gave him permission to do so. According to the Bible, Satan even murdered Jobs children in the attempt.
A prophetic reference to the sacrifice of the messiah says of God," he took delight in crushing him."
The conclusion is inescapable-God, although not physically doing the wicked deeds himself, is the author of incredibly wicked acts.
Of course, for the Christian this is a dilemma. Acts that they would condemn if authored by men ( remember Charles Manson?) are considered difficult or even impossible to understand but acceptable if authored by God.

1st of all...God doesn't make mistakes. 2nd,he is omnipotent-that means he has all power. It tells us also he is omnipresent. That means he is everywhere at the same time! man sinned, not God. He doesn't make mistakes and I believe if you really want to know the answer to that one, you should look deep within your own self-soulsearch-and seek and you shall find. I think you will eventually see, that it is us who have made mistakes-he just sent his only son to die on the cross a horrible death to clean-up what is really OUR faults. Please, read the bible-get an easy-to-read one and you will soon see-it is not he who has anyfaults but rather our flesh is weak, and our spirit is willing-God bless you-keep seeking-you'll find all the answers you need in time!JUST READ!!!---big disagree

Agree - it's like the old argument

God is omnibenevolent
God is all powerful
Evil exists
So God must be either NOT all loving or NOT all powerful

There are 2 thrusts of thinking. solid and Evil. John 8:forty two-forty six tells us that God is solid and devil is evil. God is certainty and devil is the father of lies. there is no in between. the two you're thinking and following one or the different. You have been created with the accountability and privilege of figuring out for your self who you're. You have been created for the objective of having a courting with God, yet you may % to no longer. you have approximately 19 years of experiencing the two solid and evil in the previous you're to blame for what you do. regardless of you elect, you're. Solomon suggested 'As a guy thinks in his heart, so is he'. think of like God (solid as defined via Him, no longer society) or think of like devil (it is evil or lies).

Aloha weemaryanne,

You're coming up with some great ones today! To add to what personal laptop Jesus said:

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
— The Riddle of Epicurus (ca. 341-270 B.C.E.); Greek philosopher

Either God wants to abolish evil, and cannot; Or he can, but does not want to; Or he cannot and does not want to. If he wants to, but cannot, he is impotent. If he can, but does not want to, he is wicked. But, if God both can and wants to abolish evil, then how come evil is in the world?

exactly. good question. if god sent satan here....what would be th point?? why would he purposely add satan in the picture to make us prove to him. why make the world suffer just to say in the end that were not faithful. if there was a god i bet he is laughing at us destroy ourselves. theres no such thing as a heaven, nor a hell. just live or die.

No, everything is our fault. Bible says God is not the author or creator of evil but he does allow it because even if something evil happens it is for his purposes , for his ultimate goals. Also If he were to stop evil from happening that would eliminate our free choice to do either the thing he commands us to do or the wrong thing. Everything is our fault in terms of evil things though because people are the ones who do evil things to each other because of our corrupt, greedy, evil nature.
