No. She would be truthful. It's better to be an honest person. She can tell her parents "I just don't want to" without full diclosure.

We should not have to be forced to wear the promise ring. It is pointless if you are sexually active. I guess your girlfriend honors more you and her desires than God.

maybe she is afraid to let her parents know that you are having sex. Some girls are either afraid to tell or are embarrassed to say something like that to their parents...some things are just personal. And if you are old enough to "do the do" then you should be old enough to say sex.
