when i used to go out on dates if i really liked the guy i would just drink a beer: it's simple and easy and not fussy. if i didnt really like the guy i would order some kind of martini which to me seems overly fussy and high maintenance. when in doubt break the ice with a guy and order up a couple shots called rocky mountain bear f***ers : tequila, southern comfort and jack daniels and see where the night takes you.

Depends on who you're with and what they like. But let's pretend for a minute....how about going to a great Cuban restaurant (I hoe you have one near you). Usuallly they are decorated soooo romantically...I love the latin culture...In this case I would suggest a Mojito. Sweet, refreshing, delcious.
Oh, you say your are in the mood for Mexican? Hmmm...easy answer...the time honored margarita!

Italian? Peroni Beer
Chinese? Tsching Tao Beer
Steak? Cabernet
Greek? Ouzo

A lot depends on where you guys are and what you are eating. Try to keep it classy with a nice martini or gin and tonic. If you are feeling a little sporty go for a mojito. On a dinner date I had last night I drank a Mojito while my date drank a glass of riesling.
