And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hello Kitty followed with him.
Maybe Source Mage Linux might be better for you. It involves researching grimoires and casting spells to do things. It is decidedly NOT "user friendly" nor humanitarian in any way shape or form.
As for returning Windows XP Pro, the stores wont take it back, but as long as you did not activate it through Microsoft's website, you can sell it to someone else and recoup most of your money.

Another version such as what? XP Home? There really aren't too many differences unless you ARE a pro. You may be able to go back to the store you bought it from and ask for Home. Only other real option is Vista. Which would be even more of a headache for you I bet.
Good luck!

When did you ever hear of MS giving anything back?
No you cannot get your money back.
The professional version does not mean you have to be a professional to use it. It assumes you might be a bit more astute and need MS Access, which the small business edition does not have.
But learn the programs. You will never be sorry you did.

I think you'll find there very little difference, it just has a lot more features. It's like now you know how to drive a volkswagen so can you also drive a rolls royce? (of course you can).
