TAKE HER OUT TO DINNER, all moms love to be taken out to eat also get her a small gift like a bottle of perfume or maybe a neclace or earings... and if u really want her to feel special get a pic of both of u and put it in a small pretty frame or maybe in a locket if ur going with the jewelry idea... good luck!!!

hey my mum turns 40 in 2007 too!
well ya know what, our mother's the same because my mum wants something that doesn't actually cost any money
and for her b'day gifts, i just give her my best drawings, novels that i created by myself, and poems.
and all of those things only cost time, creativity, hardwork, and the most important thing---love. whatever you're making for her b'day gifts, you should put all of your heart to it :)

Write her a poem or a song, write it in your best handwriting and decorate the paper, get a frame from the dollar store and frame it.
