you may not get sent to the same prison you were trying to break into. i know of someone who escaped from an open prison and walked to highpoint and asked to come in, he was taking something in that someone else wanted though. it couldn't be sent by post,

Probably, I saw someone sent down for trying to break into the local mental hospital and one who got longer than his mate was serving - He'd swapped places with him (?) and expected his mate to come back - needless to say he didn't, the origial 'prisoner' was serving six months, his mate got 9!

It is a misdemeanor you'll goto jail instead, unless you intend to break a prisoner out of prison then it is a felony.

Breaking into a prison is not a crime. Thus, a person trying to do it cannot be imprisoned.
