Okay here's the deal. A couple days ago I got a sore throat. I went to bed and woke up with a cold. You know how your throat gets all raspy and it doesn't sound like you? Well I'm talking kind of funny and I have to make a speech in exactly six hors and three minutes!!!! What can I do to make my voice sound normal again?

In six hours your hope of recovering from your cold is nil. But you may be able to improve your symptoms. About an hour or so before you have to give your speech, take a dose of DayQuil (or generic equivalent). Spend some time in a room with a hot-steam vaporizer, to help loosen up some of that crud in your sinuses and soothe your throat. Avoid milk, because that will just produce more phlegm.

Good luck.

I dont know about normal but f you had a vikedin (pain pill) that would get you through the speech then you can go home and go to bed. ask your friends if they might have some from the dentist or someone may have some for some reason. just take one about 30 to 45 minutes before you have to speek. if you cant find any of that try ibprofin. over the counter stuff. good luck

Take a hot shower or put your face over a boiling pot of water so that you breath in the steam. Drink green tea with ginger and put some honey in it. Suck on some cough drops like Ricola. Drink plenty of water, infact keep the bottle next to you as you give your speech. Good luck.

you have to sleep more and rest
if its a problem from your stomach you will feel like you are going throwing up
if its came fron a cold or smoking you will have pouring or downfall of water fron your nose alot also its hard for you to breathe
so for all those problems i said you have to keep your mouth wet by hot water
take a hot shower and funigate your face with the hot waterdrink water alot as you can with chicken soup
hot milk with lemon can help you too but if the problem is from your stomach dont use milk at all because it works as a trigger for your voice
dont use aspirin anymore dont cough at all dont drink wine which has alcohol alot
and another thing i have to tell you is that dont use the things which have coffee.
hope it helps

Try drinking hot water , right from the stove . I know it sounds wacky , but my mom used this cure for sore throat for years .
Don't add tea or anything . Just drink it as hot as you can , without burning yourself , of course .
