While intellectuals enter in to Islam, only ignorants leave out, why?

There are numerous incidents of learned sincere men of other faiths embracing Islam while not a single person who understood Islam leaves it. No one can show a sincere scholar of Islam forsaking his religion for other religion, while we hear Priests and Rabbis accepting Islam. Some one will say because they fear death. Where on earth can death be applied, may be in Saudi Arabia or Iran. What about Muslims in the west or in a democratic country as India where one is free to practice anything.

I agree. Many of those who have entered Islam have done so after 9/11 which shows that there are people who see the beauty of Islam despite what others have told them, and what they see in the Media. Although, those who leave Islam simply choose not to follow rules. I know that for a fact since I knew a former sister who left Islam and became a atheist. She said that she did not agree with letting a God tell her wht to do, she wanted to be part of societies behaviorism and follow the relations man and woman should not have before marraige. She wanted to drink and she wanted to do everything Islam forbids, and the truth is that many people just don't wish to have any boundries in their life, even though it is apparent that there should be boundries regaurdless of religion.

Another reason is that many fall into the trap of what others say. They start to put logic and reasoning to what the Media shows. The environment plays a big role in this. Some people can't take the responsibility of representing Islam. You know what they say, if you start to repeat a lie for long enough, it's no longer a lie. Many Muslims start to believe that yes, women are really oppessed, that Islam does promote violence. A lot of the poeple that fall out of Islam are usually those who have not even read the whole Quran and if they have, they have taken some verses out of context.

Some people leave Islam to explore other religions and to see if islam is right for them. I know a sister who was born Muslim, then turned christian, then came back to Islam realising that no religion can be as abndent in respect, tolerance and love for everyone then in Islam, and this is the only religion that is truly monotheistic, where many christians cant decide whether Jesus was mortal or immortal bcause they claim he was God (stagfir Allah )

Point is, that people like this usually just have weak iman in the first place and some who had strong iman in the begining either stopped practicing Islam a lot, or started to educate themselves in other religions a bit too much and forgot about Islam. I feel sorry for these people since they no longer have Allah's mercy.

But this proves to us that as Muslims we have to keep our iman strong and keep practcing Islam because every believer has a cloud over his heart and it darkens everytime we start to forget about Islam and endulge in worldly pleasures. And InshAllah, Allah will guide everyone to be a good Muslim and a good Human .. ameen

Great point! They do that because their personal pleasures are more important than their love of God. I feel sorry for those because they think they are doing something good with their imbecile way of behaviours after leaving Islam(such as giving bad names to Muslims etc.) but all they can do is to show their low level IQs with cheap tricks.

This is your fallacy. I can also say, and be as accurate as you are, that there are numerous incidents of sincere men of other sciences embracing phrenology while not a single person who understood phrenology disbelieves it. And it would be true. Why? Because in my example, the people who disbelieve in phrenology obviously do not understand it. In your mind, people who leave Islam obviously do not understand it, so therefore, no one who understands Islam would ever leave it. This is a logical fallacy called a tautology or circular reasoning.

If you would like to prove that Islam is better to those who are not your sychophants, then you cannot use logical fallacies to do so. Why? Because any intellectual knows that logical fallacies only prove that those who use them have either no real, observable rationale for their statements or they do not have the intellectual capacity to find rationale. If you would like to proselytze to intelligent, educated people, then please do not insult our intelligence with error filled logic. It's ineffective and has a tendency to reflect badly on you and your religion. You, personally, do Islam a disservice.

I, personally, know several extremely intelligent people who thoroughly understood Islam that left the religion for atheism, Buddhism, and Christianity. I have known many intellectuals who studied Islam to understand it better and never converted.
