No, once frozen meat has been thawed out it is not good to refreeze it. It's not that it is particularly unhealthy, but it loses 100% of its taste.

I've done it before and im still alive but its recommended that once its thawed dont refreeze meat, chicken or fish, so do so at your own risk:-)

Every kind of food is not supposed to be refreezed....I do not know exactly why...however, I never refreeze anything....

Freezing only slows bacterial growth. If the bacteria load is already high, they will continue to multiply IN the freezer. This is why thawed food should not be frozen. The first time it's frozen, it has a low microbe count. The second time, it has a high microbe count.

if its been frozen before then defrosted & you want to refreeze it then no,...i dont think its a good idea

That's what a lot of people do. I do it. You don't have to worry abt. bacteria. You just take it out and defrost and cook it, making sure to wash your hands well. It's totally fine.

I don't think that is such a good idea, cause i heard that that could cause food poisining, anad that is never good!!
