I'm just wondering. It seems that everything I've bought there has broke within a month, or it didn't work in the first place. I've bought a computer there that blew up. My friend bought a wireless router that didn't work. Plus, a stereo that didn't work as well.

Best Buy has horrible service. If you buy something there, good luck returning it, especially after you open it. And most of their sales associates are in or barely out of High School (at least the one in my town) and know very little about electronics. One kid there couldn't tell me if a lcd monitor included a DVI cable or not and wouldn't open the box to find out until I had bought it. Problem is once you buy it you can only exchange it, not get your money back. They were more than willing to sell me a cable separately for $50, $40 more than it cost from a store online. They are only interested in making sales. Once they have your money, good luck trying to get it back.

I prefer online shopping. I always go to www.newegg.com before even considering Best Buy. They are wwwaaaayyyy cheaper, fast, reliable, and won't hassle you if you need to return something. I have built several computer systems from parts ordered at Newegg and a few other places. I'm not sure about stereos but I'm sure that there is a store on the web that sells them and is just as reliable. Take advantage of the customer reviews when shopping Online.

I also purchased a DVD drive from best buy for my computer that never worked. Maybe it's a vendor or delivery problem that they don't speak about.

They're so bad I think they must be secretly owned by wal-mart. Listen to the previous poster, newegg will sell you all kinds of good stuff, great prices, good shipping and EXCELLENT service.
