Robby Gordon that is! Last time he started 2nd at Sonoma he was the victor! He is an expert road course racer... Who do you you think is the favorite to win if not Robby and why?

I would say Tony and Boris have looked good in practice and qualifying. I don't know what happened to Juan in qualifying, SPEEDTV switched to the truck race coverage, but his starting position will probably keep him from contending for the win. Tony has been my pick all week, even before the inspection stuff, and I'm sticking with that prediction. The Gibb's cars have looked the best in the COT races so far and Tony has an almost 3 position better average finish at road courses than Jeff Gordon does anyway. I also don't think anyone is more hungry for a win than Smoke, with the possible exception of Denny Hamlin. Boris has never won a race at the Cup level and I really think he deserves a full time ride. He taught many of the drivers how to get around Infineon and I think he will be very good this week, probably top 5 easily and maybe contend for the win. I DO think Robby will be up there as well and will finish in the top 3, maybe even win.

Robby Gordon is always a good pick at a road course. I'm not a big Robby Gordon fan, but it would be good to see him go to victory lane a a team owner. Let me kind of rephrase this. He's not a driver I root for, but I like seeing him get good finishes no matter where he is. But I also don't thinkg Jeff Gordon would be a bad pick. I know no one has ever won from the back. But all it takes is a little pit strategy to get there. Plus, teams always seem to do good when surrounded by controversey. I think Tony Stewart is the best at that.

I agree that R. Gordon has an outstanding chance, also a proven driver (although I don't know if he qualified in this race) on the road courses is Boris Said.

robbie, tony, and boris all starting too close together and they don't get along. i see 3 cautions in 15 laps. whoever damages their car the least will win. Jeff Gordon could be the suprise with strategy on their side. even at 41 st. he is the man.

Robby is a good bet,if he can keep his car running for the whole race.He sure has the road skills to win.Boris also, but after watching him practice i'm not sure he'll see the end.Again aa much as I dont want to say it i'm thinking Stewart is the car to beat.

It depends if Robby can hold his car in one piece by the end of the race and not drive hard like he usually does. He has to take care of that car, or else he'll have nothing to give to the #24 at the end!

He has a very good chance......But my choice is Jr because he had a greatt qualifying lap....and he has something to prove to DEI. He has been getting better every year @ road courses. I am leaving for the track in 10 minutes, I can't wait to get there!!! I will get to see Happy hour and the West series race.

Good choice and he has a chance but most people will say the other Gordon will win to dedicate to the baby and "prove" the car modificaton was an error.
