Maybe, atheists do believe in God. They say they don't and they tell us they believe in no god, but there it is. Maybe that is their God. Having no God is their god. So they may say they don't believe in God , but everytime they say that they also admit they BELIEVE in no god.

I make all the sense. First off nobody's talking about santa or cat in the hat? But everybody on here is talking about christ, god, or satan. I did not make up a god for you. You know what just exclude the word god for a moment. You made up the "thing" that you believe in. It is physiology. You deny there is a god because you believe in the statement there is no god. Don't try to lie. you know atheists believe in that statement or you wouldn''t be atheists. Think about it.

yes I think they do, but they want to live destructive lives where they do whatever they want with no consequences so they state they don't believe or chose not to believe. If you are intelligent you would realize at the very minimum that something created the earth.

It is obvious you do not understand the distinction between "believing that a God doesn't exist" and "the lack of a belief in a God." Many people try to use this faulty argument against atheism.

Atheists don't have a "belief" that God doesn't exist.
They lack a belief in God.
You can play with the word "belief" all you want to try to make your point, but it is STILL a LACK of belief, not a belief. If you research atheism a little, perhaps you will begin to understand this concept.

I capitalize the word "God" for tradition's sake and out of respect for those who do believe. Please don't try to make an issue out of that.

NO, I am an atheist and I don't believe in god or god's. I don't believe in deities existing. Having no god is not my god I don't worship anything. I don't believe in worship, it doesn't mean I disrespect others that choose to worship of have religion. The only reason I am even on here is to see and give my opinion and learn and share some facts about things.

No I don't. My Atheism grew out of the fact that no matter how good a Christian I was, I just never bought it. Even as a little child, it never made any sense to me. As I grew older, and learned more about the world and the structure of reality, I realized that it is much more elegant to believe that reality happened because there is no other way it could have happened.

I am totally moved by the fact that you worry about my soul enough to aks this question, and thank you, but I still beleive the way I do, and the cool thing is, so are you!

Peace Brother!

As I've said before, you can just as easily believe in something not happening as you can believe in something happening.

The whole definition of atheist is 'not believing in the existence of a deity' - therefore, by definition, they don't believe.

If I believed in a god, I'd question being an atheist. Seeing as I don't - or rather, I haven't since I decided I was atheist - then I don't actually believe in a god.

"Do you think Atheists actually believe in God and they don't know it."

I would hope that this answer is taken or received in a positive context.

If I ask "Wisdom" this question.
"Wisdom" would respond as such:

In the animal world there is a creature know as the skunk.
This creature is a very beautiful.
Yet the primary quality of the skunk is this:

It is not offended by its own perfume, it is not offended by the fragrance it omits. They don't know it. The scent is unrecognizable to them.

Some human beings have this same quality.
The quality to not recognize something.
This is not a permanent quality in man, it is a temporary state of consciousness.

This is how "Wisdom" discerns this question.
If I have said anything offensive, I ask for your forgiveness.

Obviously you don't know what Atheism means. Atheists have no beliefs in God or Gods. You will not hear them say that God does not exist. And quite obviously you will not hear them say that God exists either.

what the hell are you talking about? Having no God is their God?? What does that mean? Just because you can't accept the fact that there are people out there that do not believe in a God doesn't mean you should somehow make one up for them

Talk about magical thinking! :)

Sorry, actually, my belief is that there is no reason to believe in some supernatural power. There are ample explanations for why this notion of God came to be accepted and pervasive in our cultures. The fact that different cultures came up with different (and utterly contradictory) gods is one example. The big question is, why do people so desparately hold on to their gods? What emotional need is satisfied for them?
