(its barely 9:30) and he woke me up with his LOUD whistle which i could hear upstairs at 9. how do i get him too spot? (WITHOUT having to pet him every time cuz right when i stop, he continues to whistle)?

Most people don't realize that as sweet as they are, cockatiels are loud and noisy birds! They whistle all day long. This is normal behavior and the sign of a healthy happy bird. I suggest you move him to another room when you need quiet time. Maybe on a screened porch so he can see outside and give him some treats to eat.

I even have 2 cockatiels and that they won extra interest in the previous i've got been given my dogs. My dogs is 3 years previous now and that they dont even care if she comes as much as the cage and barks at them. I discovered that my cockatiels scream whilst they choose interest. many times i take them out and enable them to fly and that they are going to be nice later. additionally they like to observe youtube video clips of different cockatiels and that i flow away on some tropical rain wooded area sounds for them each and every so often. some could even watch t.v. i've got been given my first cockatiel 4 months in the previous i've got been given the 2nd, They dont like one yet another plenty yet whilst they are out of the cage they call after one yet another. Cockatiels are very social birds fairly once you provide them alot of interest whilst they dont acquire that interest they substitute into stressful. i could advise getting yet another cockatiel yet % one that is extra socialized by way of fact it's going to be extra handy on you in case you prefer to deal with it. Slowly introduce them in the process the cage bars. i could flow away them in a quiet room without all and sundry interrupting so as that they get used to a minimum of one yet another. in the event that they dont attempt to kill one yet another then save them. i do no longer think of the chirping will quit thoroughly yet once you provide your cockatiel the comparable volume of interest on a daily basis or how in lots of circumstances you % then it's going to be extra of a recurring and the cockatiel could be happy. you ought to continually get her a mirror fairly of a cockatiel that ought to paintings too.

Put a cover over the cage but if that doesn't work then you can place it in a different room.

i had a friend who had one and when she wanted peace and quiet she would throw a cover over its cage. the bird would remain quiet until she removed the cover. you might give it a try. it never hurts. the worst that can happen is that the bird continues. if it does contact your vet and see what he says.
