To add more detail. It just freezes and asks me to report the error to microsoft.

Been using IE for years - no problem.
If all else fails, uninstall it and reinstall.
Before you do, be sure your RAM is not cluttered:
1. Set wallpaper and screensavers to blank or none — they run continuously in the background and use memory.
2. Review your start menu – remove anything you don’t need on a daily basis — load games, etc. on an as-needed basis.
3. From Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options: delete cookies, delete files (offline), and clear history. (You can also set days to store history to 0.)
----- These actions will clear your computer’s cache. (For a description of cache, go to http://help.yahoo.com/l/ph/yahoo/mail/access/access-27210.html )
4. Run Disk Cleanup, Scandisk, Defrag at least every two weeks (the more frequently they are run, the less time they take).
5. Periodically, click Start, Programs, Run — they type ipconfig renew
(that’s ipconfig space renew).

I certainly have been utilising IE7 for a pair of month now, and that i exploit it on a daily basis. i could advise the themes you're having are concerning the OS not being completely patched :-P in case you have XP-SP2, then verify you maintain it up thus far (with protection patches). XP by potential of itself is broken, yet XPSP2 is greater helpful than a poke in the attention. I certainly have got here upon that if I open a sparkling IE7 window, and then kill it till now it has loaded completely, then all different IE7 abode windows will die besides. additionally, with the [Tab] function, the [Open those Pages next Time IE starts] function is broken and would reason a crash. i comprehend it is probable not the respond you have been searching for, yet i desire you get the themes regarded after :-)

I find IE7 works fine for me. Trick is to make sure there is no A/V running on your computer or that there is no spy ware on the computer when you install IE7. (There is a reason for IE7 crashing, just not discovered yet, my suspicion is spy ware.)
