Why would you need to drink if you're taking medication? I think that is your bigger problem.

Drinking alcohol while on perscription medication is very dangerous. I've done it personally and hardly had too many side effects, but the liver can not process the antibiotics/ drugs the same if there is alcohol in the system. There is a process called synergy where let's say the effect of alcohol equals 1 and the effect of the drug is equal to one. When they are in the system together synergy means that they amplify the interaction of each other. So normally 1+1=2 but with both at the same time 1+1=3. Which doesn't mean that the antibiotic works better, but the effect of the alcohola on the body and liver has much more of an impact and it takes longer for you to process both the antibiotic and the alcohol.

It doesn't kill the penicillin, it's just that you pee more, therefore not allowing the antibiotic to stay in your body long enough to do its work. You won't die or anything, it'll just take you a bit longer to get better.

You might get sleepy. Plus if you're sick you really shouldn't drink. It's just weakening your immune system more.
