Is anyone looking? If it is view point of why one goes to church remember there are people that have heavy burdens and carry baggage's of their past that need to come off,before they can deal with another. Yes they are saved and they love God ,but the reason remains the same. Because of loneliness a person can force themselves on another,their hearts are open,but not ready for such a commitment. Can a man find a wife or a woman find a husband in the church? All things are possible but just like a hospital you will find that some are still healing and need some medication (The Bible) before they are free to commit. Relationships cease when there are still open wounds of past failures and experiences. Everyone needs time,without distraction. Is the love of God more important than a marriage? When one needs him so much more? Seek ye first the kingdom....and all this things you desire will be added unto you. God has promised.

Why not? It would be easier to find a like minded partner in church (assuming that you are actually attending a church that teaches what you believe in), than it would be to find a compatible person by talking to random people in a club or a bar.
===edit==
In response to what "fatbabyceesay" said below, I realize that church is not a "pick up joint", and that you are there for the main purpose of worshiping God, but if someone honestly thinks that it is wrong to ask someone from church out on a date, then that means that she is dating only nonreligious people. How then is she NOT violating God's command that his people be evenly yoked only with other believers? She is creating a catch-22 with that impossible attitude.

You can find a husband or wife anywhere. If you look for one - you will find one. Just make sure you choose the BEST.

I wouldn't want to find one anywhere else. My faith is central in my life, so it is of the utmost importance that I marry someone who feels the same way. Without that at our core, I'm not interested. I guess I could meet someone elsewhere, but they would have to be of the same convictions. It's just more likely I'll find him at my church, cuz we're a bit extreme, and I haven't ever met anyone outside that shares all my beliefs.

I think that's something to be prayed on. Everybody that sits in the church isn't necessarily saved. It is possible, but in the end it would be wise to get God's blessing on any potential mate.
But I wouldn't try to look for a mate, I think things work out if it's meant for you.

Where their is the opposite sex, there is always a possibility.
Church is an alternate place to meet the opposite sex as opposed to other dating places such as bars and the workplace.
Naturally, meeting through friends is perhaps best.

Is church supposed to be a place for couples to meet? I thought it was supposed to be a place where you went to Worship your God? I am SOOO confused.

Yes, and knowing/finding them there gives you a good outlook as to how the act and how their hearts are towards God.
